The cabinets you see at the big box home centers throughout Saratoga, Albany and the Capital Region are typically referred to as Knock down cabinets. These are usually the most inexpensive type of cabinets or cupboards. There is typically some “assembly required” and they may or may not come with doors and drawer fronts. But what is usually the sticking point with the Knock Down type of cabinet is the very limited selections.

And while the cost of these cabinets is very low, the quality of the materials is also low. Their strength is dependent upon how well the assembler puts the cabinets together.  Internal amenities (think 'shelves' or 'lazy Susans') are usually limited and also require assembly. In addition to local stores, these cabinets are sometimes available for order on line.
